Data Deletion Instructions

Last updated: October 11, 2026

My Portal App lets businesses connect their social media accounts (Facebook Pages, Instagram professional accounts, Threads, X, LinkedIn, TikTok and YouTube) so they can schedule and publish their own posts. This page explains how to remove that connection and how to have us delete your data.

What data we hold

When you connect a social media account, we store:

  • your account or Page name, username and profile picture
  • the platform’s ID for your account, Page, organization or channel
  • the access tokens the platform issued when you approved access
  • posts you scheduled in My Portal App (text, images, video, links and posting times), plus the post ID and status of posts that were published

Our Privacy Policy has the full details.

Option 1: Disconnect in My Portal App (fastest)

  1. Sign in to your My Portal App workspace.
  2. Open the Social Media settings.
  3. Find the account you want to remove and click Disconnect.
  4. Confirm.

We delete the stored access tokens for that account right away and cancel any posts that were scheduled to it but not yet published.

Option 2: Email us a deletion request

  1. Send an email to admin@myportalapp.com with the subject Data Deletion Request.
  2. Include:
    • your name and the email address you use with My Portal App
    • the platform or platforms (for example Facebook, Instagram, X)
    • the account, Page or channel name
    • the name of the business or portal you connected through, if you know it
  3. We may reply to confirm your identity before we delete anything. This keeps someone else from deleting your data.

We confirm we got your request within 3 business days. We finish deleting within 30 days and email you when it’s done.

Option 3: Remove My Portal App on the social platform

Removing the app on the platform stops all access right away. When the platform tells us access was removed, we delete your stored tokens. To have your other data deleted as well (scheduled posts and posting history), also use Option 1 or 2.

  1. Open Instagram and go to your profile, then the menu, then Settings and activity.
  2. Open Website permissions > Apps and websites.
  3. Under Active, find My Portal App and tap Remove.

  1. Open Threads and go to your profile, then the menu, then Settings.

  2. Find the app you used to connect YouTube and click Remove access. Note: this may show your provider’s app name instead of My Portal App.

What gets deleted

  • Access tokens and refresh tokens for the account
  • Account and Page names, IDs and profile pictures we stored
  • Scheduled posts that weren’t published yet, with their media
  • Records of published posts (post IDs, times and status)
  • Related logs, which are deleted on their normal schedule of 30 days

What we can’t delete for you: posts that are already published on Facebook, Instagram, Threads, X, LinkedIn, TikTok or YouTube. Those live on the platform, and you can delete them there. We may also keep a minimal record that you asked for deletion, and anything the law requires us to keep, only for as long as it’s required.

Using a portal from another business?

My Portal App is often provided under another company’s brand. If you connected your account through a portal run by another business, you can contact that business or contact us directly. Either way, we will act on your request.
